Juan Neumann Blues Band is a fresh and promising addition to the Peruvian blues scene, formed in 2024 in the city of Lima through one of those rare musical encounters that only happen in the right place, at the right time.
The project was born after a jam session at the iconic Delfus Bar in the Miraflores district, a key gathering point for Lima’s blues community. It was there that Fred PG, a Paris-based guitarist with extensive international experience in the blues scene across both the United States and Europe, discovered the talent and musical sensitivity of young guitarist and vocalist Juan Neumann. Their connection was immediate, grounded in a shared language: authentic blues, deeply rooted in tradition yet open to new expression.
To complete the rhythm section, Peruvian bassist Franco Torterolo joined the group, bringing solid groove, musical depth, and his own experience within the local blues circuit. With this lineup in place, the band quickly took shape, developing a tight and expressive sound driven by strong chemistry and a clear artistic vision.
In a short time, the band has begun making its mark in Lima’s live music scene, performing at bars and cultural venues and receiving a warm and enthusiastic response from audiences who connect with the band’s energy, authenticity, and musicianship.
With a bright future ahead, the Juan Neumann Blues Band represents a new generation of Latin American blues artists—blending international influences with a growing identity of their own, and steadily building momentum beyond Peru.
