“Cold Shot” is much more than a tribute band: it's a powerful group of Costa Rican musicians with extensive experience, who for the past four years have brought the intensity, spirit, and electricity of Stevie Ray Vaughanto the stage. They pay tribute to one of the most influential guitarists in the history of the blues, an artist whose mark has impacted the entire world — including Costa Rica — thanks to his raw emotion, his fearless improvisation, and his unmistakable Texan sound.

The lineup features Frank Leal and Fer Rivera on vocals, Guillermo Artavia on drums, Alberto Choto Cruz on bass, and two of Costa Rica’s most respected blues guitarists: Carlos Domínguez and Aaron Retana.

Both Carlos and Aaron are widely admired for their deep understanding of electric blues guitar — the phrasing, the attack, and the soul behind every note.
