Traffic Jam is a powerful, high-energy blues-rock band that leaves a lasting impression every time they take the stage.
Born out of the legendary Sunday Service Jam Sessions at Casa Jimmy Studio in San José, Traffic Jam was formed in 2021 by a group of exceptional musicians who come together purely for the love of live music. While the band doesn’t perform often and has no official recordings, their reputation continues to grow thanks to explosive live shows, tight musicianship, and a sound that hits with raw intensity.

Frank Leal, frontman and lead guitarist from Venezuela, is a standout talent whose fiery playing commands attention. Recently, Frank opened for Guns N’ Roses in San José with his other band, Gentry — a clear sign that his musical journey is just getting started.

Alejandro Brenes, holds down the low end with a funky, slappy bass style, fueled by his love for both funk and hard rock.

Erik Reinhold, guitarist and co-frontman from Amsterdam, has lived in Costa Rica for over 30 years. Deeply rooted in the blues, his influences include ZZ Top, Duane Allman, and Chris Stapleton — influences you can hear clearly in both his tone and his unmistakable voice.
Traffic Jam puts its own stamp on classic material, reimagining songs by Lenny Kravitz, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Lang, The Allman Brothers, Bad Company, and more — always played with attitude, groove, and passion.
