El veterano guitarrista de Filadelfia Mark Margolies Philadelphia guitar veteran Mark Margolies has been passionately playing the guitar since the age of 13. Growing up, he taught himself to play by ear, learning the songs he heard on the radio. Mostly self-taught, Mark began performing professionally soon after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1985.
In 2022, he released his debut album of contemporary blues, “Can’t You See,” earning praise from Blues Blast Magazine for its “stripped-down retro feel” and “heaping helping of jazz to attain something of a beatnik, smoky jazz joint vibe.”
Mark brings a unique blend of blues and jazz to his guitar-driven sound, channeling decades of musical experience and deep love for the craft. He continues to perform regularly throughout the greater Philadelphia area, delivering soulful, expressive performances rooted in tradition but with a voice all his own.
